Vendors are also taking a hard look at the topography of the industry. With contracts expiring, and credit unions in the driver’s seat more so than in years past, certain vendors concede that a new business model is forming which could result in more favorable contractual terms to those credit unions that are willing to take a hard-line when negotiating. This reminded me of something Theodore Roosevelt said:
“The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it.”"
