With an exclusive network (have been meeting for 17 years) of over 100 credit unions primarily serving over 700 thousand firefighters and first responders, our collaborative effort is to assist the volunteers and staff of credit unions serving firefighters and first responders with their operational and educational needs.

This peer two peer networking relationship brings together, 
  • credit union volunteers and staff with the same employment backgrounds, 
  • field of membership, and 
  • financial and educational needs.
Through NCOFCU’s exclusive network and annual conference, credit unions serving firefighters and first responders are available to assist fellow credit unions in making operational decisions such as;
  • field of membership expansion, 
  • products and services, 
  • both staff and volunteer succession planning and 
  • possible in network merger solutions (should it come to that)
NCOFCU’s board of directors and membership is made up of credit union executives and volunteers from across the country of all asset and membership sizes. WASHINGTON–Mortgage rates saw the biggest one-week drop in over a year last week, causing the first increase in mortgage demand in a month, according to new data. Growing Delinquencies, Especially in Auto Loans, Can be Seen in New CUNA Report

MADISON, Wis.–Ongoing increases in delinquencies, especially in automobile loans, can be seen in the new CUNA Economic Update . According to CUNA Chief Economist Mike Schenk, the report shows: Mortgage delinquencies. With data obtained by Equifax, CUNA economists said they have found “slight upward movements” in mortgage delinquency rates.   Credit card delinquencies. Bigger increases in delinquency rates relative to the cyclical low – as seen during the COVID-19 pandemic – is concerning, said Schenk.   Auto loan delinquencies: Data shows a “dramatic” increase in delinquency rates among institutions such as auto financing companies.  CUNA Forecast   CUNA’s economists are forecasting delinquency rates will peak at 1% by the end of 2024.
