SF Fire Credit Union to Unveil Newly Remodeled Branch with “Grand Reveal Street Market Party"

Supervisor Joel Engardio, San Francisco Fire Credit Union Leaders, Lowell High School Drum Corps, Tak Kung Kwoon Lion Dance troupe, Food Trucks and SF Fire Department Headline Festivities to Welcome the Branch Back to the Community

WHAT: SF Fire Credit Union is unveiling its Stonestown Branch after a five-month renovation creating a cafĂ©-style, modern banking experience. To celebrate, and to thank members and the local community for their patience during the makeover, SF Fire CU is hosting a “Grand Reveal Street Market Party” which is open to the public. In celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year, lucky red envelopes will be handed out to the first 200 people who show their RSVP confirmation at the event.

Momolicious and Hongry Kong Food trucks will be on hand throughout the morning offering lucky dumplings, egg custard tarts, fortune cookies and other Asian delicacies. To delight children, SFFD firefighters and fire trucks from local Station 19 will be on site as well as Local 798 Union Hall’s Crucible Truck. The Asian Firefighter Association and the Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT) volunteers will also be represented.

Growing Delinquencies, Especially in Auto Loans, Can be Seen in New CUNA Report

MADISON, Wis.–Ongoing increases in delinquencies, especially in automobile loans, can be seen in the new CUNA Economic Update . According to CUNA Chief Economist Mike Schenk, the report shows: Mortgage delinquencies. With data obtained by Equifax, CUNA economists said they have found “slight upward movements” in mortgage delinquency rates.   Credit card delinquencies. Bigger increases in delinquency rates relative to the cyclical low – as seen during the COVID-19 pandemic – is concerning, said Schenk.   Auto loan delinquencies: Data shows a “dramatic” increase in delinquency rates among institutions such as auto financing companies.  CUNA Forecast   CUNA’s economists are forecasting delinquency rates will peak at 1% by the end of 2024.
